To show just how much free time I have, and to prove how much I love and obsess over the Katamari games, I've started building my own Katamari.

And I have pictures to prove it!

I try my hardest, I really do. But I hardly ever hear a kind word or get any warm encouragement from my papasan. No pats on the back or "attaboys" or trips to the ballpark. I never meant to cause him shame; in fact, he's always been my hero! Can he not feel the cosmos? Does his drinking dull his senses? Why must I correct HIS mistakes, anyway? Must the sins of the father always be revisited upon the son? Oh, well...I'll keep rolling like a dutiful son should. It's all I can do in this game, Katamari. Rolling, rolling, rolling my guts out. Maybe, with time, those cold, judgemental eyes of my father will finally thaw & shine through with warmth upon me, his only son & the heir to the cosmos...

I Just Beat "Make a Star 7"!

I rolled up a respectable 7m 47cm 6mm.

I then went on to blow right through "Make a Star 8" on the first try with a 20m 82cm 9mm! I'll definetly be playing it through more though; it's one of my favorite levels so far.

I finally stopped at "Make a Star 9" after a few tries. The much heavier physics of the city-levelling katamari is a tricky thing & kinda frustrating, and my thumbs were starting to blister.

Rolling up maidens to make the Virgo was a blast! All that screaming, giggling, & squealing was pretty funny. And I got 167 of them for a cool 83% (my highest percentage for a star yet).

I noticed some of the music & level design starting to repeat...I hope "We Love Katamari" is a little more extensive...

Ok, so I have this tribe dedicated to a game that myself and a few friends made up called the D.I.Y Random Tattoo Generator ( DIYRTG.tribe.net ) and Katamari made it into the game the other night.

I'm not one of those people who likes to look up cheat codes and tips online or in magazines...but I thought I would ask some actual people about this...

What is up with the "pisces" level? I can't get the king of all cosmos to accept my katamari, it's always rotten & stinky! Will someone share the secret to not offending the king's olfactory sensibilities?

Katamari Damacy Soundtrack

The soundtrack CD is available in Japan (for $23!!!), but I borrowed a copy not too long ago. It's pretty funny to hear these songs in your car or on the subway.
